Fremantle goalsneak Michael Frederick will miss the next three to four weeks after injuring his adductor while kicking a goal against the Western Bulldogs last week.

Frederick suffered the injury during the third quarter of the 49-point loss, with scans revealing the extent of the damage.

"We believe it was when he actually kicked that left foot goal during the match," Fremantle football operations manager Peter Bell said in a statement.

"He pulled up a bit sore and scans have confirmed that he will miss the next three weeks or so."

Out-of-favour wingman Liam Henry won't be available for Saturday's match against Brisbane at the Gabba after suffering a concussion in the WAFL last week.

But defender Heath Chapman and forward Sam Switkowski have a chance to return from their calf injuries.

Former skipper Nat Fyfe (plantar fasciitis) could also be in the mix for the trip to Brisbane if he can build his loads at training this week.

"Nat had a really good session, we are encouraged by that and we will see how he progresses over the week," Bell said.

Veteran Travis Colyer's return from knee surgery has hit a snag, with the former Bomber now sidelined with a calf injury.

Colyer is listed as being three to four weeks away from a comeback.

Forward Matt Taberner won't return until the tail end of the season after undergoing back surgery.
