Bounty lovers will be heartbroken to hear that the Celebrations sweet is not returning to some tubs this Christmas.
In a trial run, Mars are to release limited edition Celebrations tubs without the coconut chocolate, following data which showed 39 per cent of Brits would like to see the sweet banished forever.
The Bounty-less variety boxes will go on sale at select Tesco locations on November 8 until December 18. Instead of Bounty, the tubs will contain extra Mars, Snickers, Milky Way, Galaxy and Maltesers sweets.
A survey conducted by Mars Wrigley - the producer of Celebrations, which examined 2,000 Britons aged 18-65, found that 18 per cent would be annoyed if they only had Bounty bars left to choose from. Some 28 per cent believed that coconut had no place in a chocolate bar at all.
However, the confectionary giant has not made a final decision to remove the sweets, as 18 per cent of Brits still love to enjoy them. Findings showed that Bounty are popular among a more mature audience, with 38 per cent of over-55s choosing it as their preferred bar.
While many are calling for an end to the Bounty celebration, research shows that it still has a dedicated fan base. In fact, a separate study suggests that they are not actually the most hated Celebration in the tub, but is instead the Milky Way chocolate.
The Daily Record is asking readers to share their thoughts on Bounty bar Celebrations - and if they believe Mars should permanently axe the sweet.
