Do Wall Street Analysts Like Omnicom Group Stock?

New York-based Omnicom Group Inc. (OMC) is a global marketing and communications company. It helps brands grow through advertising, media, commerce, consulting, public relations, branding, healthcare, production, and experiential marketing services. The company has a market capitalization of approximately $24 billion.

Shares of this marketing and communications giant have underperformed the broader market over the past year. OMC has gained 12% over this period, while the broader S&P 500 Index ($SPX) has rallied 20.1%. Likewise, OMC is up 5.8% so far this year, well behind the S&P 500’s 13.1% gain year-to-date.

Narrowing the comparison, OMC has outperformed the State Street Communication Services Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLC), which has declined marginally over the past year and declined 5.9% year-to-date.

On July 28, Omnicom Group reported its Q2 FY2026 earnings, sending shares up 4.6% that day and down 4.2% in the following session as investors focused on weaker-than-expected profitability despite a revenue beat. Core operations revenue increased 7.2% to $6 billion on 6.1% organic growth. Non-GAAP EPS rose 29.3% to $2.65.

For the current fiscal year ending in December 2026, analysts project OMC’s diluted EPS to increase 19.7% to $10.35. The company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates in two of the past four quarters, while missing expectations in the other two.

Among the 12 analysts covering OMC stock, the consensus rating is a “Moderate Buy.” The rating is based on six “Strong Buys,” four “Holds,” one “Moderate Sell,” and one “Strong Sell.”

OMC’s analyst sentiment is more bullish than it was three months ago, when the stock had five “Strong Buy” recommendations.

On July 29, Morgan Stanley analyst Sean Diffley maintained a “Hold” rating on Omnicom Group and kept the price target at $83.

The mean price target of $100 implies 17% upside from OMC’s current share price, while the Street-high target of $139 suggests potential upside of 62.6%.
