The Boston Celtics have been performing well early in the NBA’s 2023-24 season with their starting lineup, which is considered one of the best in the league so far this campaign. Boston head coach Joe Mazzulla has been using that success to experiment with different defensive strategies and lineup combinations to maximize their potential as a ball club.
However, with veteran big man Al Horford expected to sit out for the Celtics’ back-to-back games this season, they will need more production from their second-level players on some nights. While having a strong starting lineup is important, depth and production off the bench are also crucial for a successful Boston season. The Celtics are aiming for a championship this season, and in order to achieve that, they will need contributions from their entire roster.
