In 2026, it’s hard to ignore just how much OnlyFans has become ingrained in mainstream society. From Married At First Sight (MAFS) participants joining the adult content platform to extend their fifteen minutes of fame, to Hollywood stars like Sydney Sweeney and Elle Fanning portraying adult content creators on the silver screen, the world has become well and truly fascinated with OnlyFans and the people who make a living on the platform.
This includes Annie Knight and Chloe Mira, two of Australia’s most prominent adult content creators who rank in the global top one per cent of OnlyFans earners and star in the Stan reality show Turned On: Dirty Sexy Money.
While the series explores the lavish lifestyles, business decisions and personal drama behind their online profiles, there are still plenty of questions Aussies have about what it’s really like to be an adult content creator. So, Annie and Chloe have teamed up with PEDESTRIAN.TV to answer some of the internet’s burning questions — from whether it’s actually possible to make a living selling feet pics, to whether they ever get sick of having sex.
What does a typical day in the life of an OnlyFans creator look like?
CHLOE: I honestly think that’s up to the creator, and different people have different work ethics. Chatting to your subscribers is one thing, but then filming and producing content is another thing. We work for ourselves, so we do decide how much we want to work in the day, but we just get it all done and fit in cleaning your house and going to the gym in the meantime. We do have assistants and management, but we are doing it all ourselves. You’re the director, the makeup artist, the creative, and there’s a lot that goes into it.
ANNIE: This is why I love my job, because each day is so different. One day you might have a podcast interview, and you might be like, ‘I’m not going to film any content today’, and you just chat to your subscribers. But then the next day might be a social content day. So you get up, go to the gym, do your morning routine, then you start filming. You just come up with ideas, and you film them — could be two hours of work, could be six hours of work. You can’t have a normal day in the life, in my opinion. Each day is so different, and that’s the best thing about being able to work for ourselves because we get to decide what we do.
What are the pros and cons of working with an agency versus being a solo content creator?
CHLOE: I’ve only ever worked with Quinn [Everly]’s agency. I was obviously her guinea pig client, and I couldn’t imagine the alternative. The help that I receive just in terms of creative direction and having assistance, and even just having things like your leaks being taken off the internet — my brain is already so full that I need that.
ANNIE: For me, when I started my account and started posting on social media, I was so set on doing it solo. Of course, you build a team around you, like I’ve hired a publicist and I’ve got an assistant. But I’m such a control freak, so I love having full control over my content. I love the creative side of things, so I do like being able to come up with ideas and stuff like that. But I can see how it would be amazing as well; there’s no right or wrong.

What’s your relationship with your OnlyFans subscribers actually like?
ANNIE: You build such a close relationship with your subscribers; they become like your friends or your buddies. You message them literally every single day, so it is one of those things. It’s really hard to explain because I’m engaged, for example, but then I have this friendship and this online relationship with my subscribers. You learn so much about them, and they become like a part of your life. I love it.
How do you navigate having a partner while also being on OnlyFans?
CHLOE: The partners that I have had when I’ve been in the industry, or on OnlyFans specifically, they’ve always been accepting of it, and I’ve always been forthcoming with that information from the get-go because I do think that it’s relevant. To be upfront with that is really important because if someone doesn’t agree with that work, that’s actually okay, and they have the right to be like, ‘This isn’t for me, and I want to walk away’. I definitely wouldn’t want to be with someone who had any certain views on it anyway.
ANNIE: Obviously, I’m engaged, but when I was dating, it was really hard trying to navigate how I could possibly be in a relationship when every time I would go on a date and tell them I did OnlyFans, they would ghost me and never see me again. It happened that many times, and obviously now it’s easy because my partner is my best friend of 10 years, so he’s known me before OnlyFans through everything. But I think he’s okay with it because he knows me and he trusts me, and I think communication is key, honesty is key, and just having open conversations about boundaries and all that kind of stuff is the only way to make it work.
Is it actually possible for people to make a living selling feet pics?
ANNIE: I think there are some very unique cases where people are successfully doing that, but let me tell you, no one is buying my feet pics. I think if you’re a celebrity first and you start selling feet pictures, you make a mint. But otherwise, not so much.
Do you ever get sick of having sex?
ANNIE: Look, I’ll be honest. When I was doing my 1000 guys in a year challenge — we’re talking three years into me doing back to back to back challenges — there were some days where I was like, I’m pretty f**king tired today. But for the most part, if I didn’t want to do it, I wouldn’t do it. I mean, I certainly don’t get sick of having sex with my partner.
CHLOE: I think that the saying ‘Love your job and you’ll never work a day in your life’ is just not true. You can have so many good days, but there’s always going to be a day that you don’t want to do it or that you don’t feel like it. In terms of having sex, the videos that I would make with my partner were always work, so they were quite separate from our personal sex life, which does take a little bit of the enjoyment out of it because you’re trying to concentrate on camera angles and stuff. Like, when you’re having an enjoyable intimate moment, it’s really nice to kiss someone, but no one cares about that in a video that you’re trying to sell.

What advice would you give someone who says they want to follow in your footsteps and join OnlyFans?
CHLOE: I would say that this is not a decision to be taken lightly, and I don’t think that sex work in any form is something that’s aspirational. Having been in different avenues of sex work before OnlyFans, the thing that OnlyFans has done is lower the barrier to sex work. As someone who used to be a dancer, you used to have to go and do an audition, and we have all of this content now on the internet. I would say anyone who watches the show and thinks that this is something to be inspired by or aspire to should do a lot more research, and it comes down to the risk versus reward, and you are going to risk everything for potentially no reward. You’re better off going and studying to be a neurosurgeon and making the same amount of money because the odds are better.
ANNIE: The harder you work, the more money you can make, but it’s not a given. And I think if anyone came to me and said, ‘I’m going to start an OnlyFans account’, I would say to them, ‘Do your research’. If you are just doing this for money, don’t do it. If you are really passionate about this and this is something you really want to do, make sure you know that you could start an account, you could fail, and then you might not be able to get another job again. You really do need to honestly think about it for the longest amount of time, write a pros and cons list, do your research, and ask people in the industry if you have to. Do not just make the decision on a whim because you could ruin your life.
