Do I need a polling card to vote in NI Council Elections 2023?

Brendan Hughes NI Translink Northern Ireland DUP

Hundreds of thousands of people will go to the polls this week as the Northern Ireland local elections take place.

The elections will take place on Thursday, May 18, when the people of Northern Ireland will choose their councillors for their council area for the upcoming term.

In order to vote in the elections, you will need to be over 18 and on the electoral register. This will allow you to vote in person at a polling station, by post or by proxy.
