‘Do I come across as a fascist?’: Jesse Watters asks co-hosts important question, they don’t even hesitate to answer

Fox News host Jesse Watters has some pretty controversial views to put it lightly. But it seems he may have had an eye-opening revelation after asking his co-hosts if he comes across as a fascist and they quickly gave him a harsh reality check.

The conservative political commentator has always been an ardent defender of the Trump regime and he’s shown his incredible heartlessness when it comes to commenting on the horrific actions committed by individuals under Trump’s orders. However, despite his dogmatic support for the current regime, he doesn’t think of himself as a fascist.

So it was probably a surprise when he got harassed in his own neighborhood by a passing car. Sharing his experience on The Five chat show, Watters claimed he had been walking in his neighborhood when a passing driver stopped, rolled down their window, and yelled “f— you fascist.” Watters seemed taken aback by the comment, telling his co-hosts, “he doesn’t know I’m a fascist,” to which Jessica Tarlov responds, “Yes, he does. You’re on TV.”

Watters doesn’t seem to realize that his cruel jokes and constant Trump glazing have earned him the label of “fascist” from many viewers. He asks, “Do I come across as a fascist?” and Jessica quickly responds “Yes!

Jesse Watters doesn’t know what to think

While he may not think of himself as a fascist, clearly many people do, including his own co-host. Will this revelation lead him to do some soul-searching and reach an epiphany? Probably not, but we can hope.

Jesse Watters’ critics (of which there are many) agreed with Tarlov; one person observed his “Freudian slip,” when Watters asked, “How does he know? He doesn’t know I’m a fascist.” Another sympathized with Jessica writing, “I don’t know how she’s always so calm surrounded by those fascists.” A third suggested that Watters was pretending to be outraged, “You are inwardly gratified that you were called a fascist.”

The Fox News host has become notorious for his conservative views that one could certainly argue cross the line into fascist territory. The Trump administration is sinking further and further into an authoritarian and ultranationalistic regime and Watters frequently celebrates that fact rather than worrying about it like the rest of us are. It’s probably because he’s one of the few privileged enough not to be adversely affected by Donald Trump’s policies.

While being called a fascist likely won’t change Watters’ political opinions, at the very least the experience hopefully made him realize he’s not particularly well-liked by a large majority of Americans. Even his own mother wants nothing to do with him.
