Some bureaucrats wish to contest Lok Sabha polls

New Delhi: The age old bond between bureaucracy and politics is not only well built but quite strong also.

At present there are a number of retired bureaucrats who are either in the Modi cabinet or members of the Lok Sabha.

In the upcoming general elections 2024 also, various IAS and IPS officers wish to contest the Lok Sabha polls. The maximum number of such desirous officers is from Uttar Pradesh.

These bureaucrats want to try their luck in politics after retirement.

According to Dynamite News sources, a senior IAS officer from UP has decided to contest Lok Sabha election from a seat in Azamgarh division.

Similarly, an IPS of ADG rank who retired last year wants to reach the Lok Sabha from a seat in western UP. He is trying hard to get the ticket from the ruling party.

However, only time will tell as to who gets success. But these days a lot of speculations about such officers are taking rounds in the UP bureaucratic circles.
