Leeds United are yet to dip their toes in the transfer market ahead of their return to the Championship.
The managerless Whites have been linked with a clutch of players and the latest name to be thrown out by the rumour mill is Djordje Jovanovic.
But who is the mystery forward? Here, we take a brief look at his career so far and what he would bring should a move materialise.
Background
Jovanovic is a 24-year-old Serbian who plays as a forward for Israeli side Maccabi Tel-Aviv. He joined them in 2021 after previously playing in his homeland and also Belgium and Spain. He has three senior caps for Serbia.

Scoring record
Jovanovic scored 15 goals and earned four assists across 33 league games for Tel-Aviv last season, contributing to a goal every 1.73 games. In all competitions he netted 22 in 43.
Regarding the type of player he is, he boasts plenty of physicality and so would bring a different aspect to the table compared to someone like Patrick Bamford.
Likely to happen?
Former Leeds striker Robbie Keane was recently named as Tel-Aviv boss but it remains to be seen whether he is willing to let go one of his better players.
The report linking Jovanovic, from Sports Walla, does however state that Keane's employers are eager to offload the forward in order to promote younger colleague Dor Turgeman. The report adds that a fee of around £3million may be enough to prise away the Serbian - a relatively small fee that should prove no problem should Leeds wish to pursue the deal.
