Well, well, well, if you thought the Laneway 2025 lineup couldn’t get any better, I have some impeccable news for you. It absolutely can thanks to the addition of a surprise artist being added to the mix. Who is it, you ask? It’s none other than Djo, AKA Joe Keery.
When the Laneway 2025 lineup was dropped last week, fans with a particular eye for detail noticed that one of the colourful blobs that contained the artists’ names was filled with a bunch of lil’ aliens rather than a name.
With pre-sale tickets going on sale tomorrow, the big dogs behind the scenes at Laneway have announced that Djo is the talented artist whose name belongs in that blob.
Djo’s spot in the lineup is huge for fans of the “End of Beginning” singer as it’ll be the first time he’s performed in Australia and New Zealand.
His addition to the lineup was teased on Instagram at 1pm AEST Monday with a cheeky little voice note from the Stranger Things actor.
“Hey, it looks like you have one extra slot. Any way I can get in on that?” the mystery voice note asked.
Naturally in the comments, fans speculated who on earth the voice could belong to.
“Not a scientist but that doesn’t sound like Chappell Roan,” joked one commenter.
“Your mic is broken, Lorde,” said another.
“THAT’S DJO I KNOW THAT VOICE,” commented a Joe Keery fan page, and boy do they.
But that’s not the only update the festival has for us!
The Sydney leg of the festival will now take place at Centennial Park rather than the Sydney Showground. We love a nature-filled landscape, don’t we girls?!
If Djo’s inclusion in the festival is the straw that broke the proverbial camel’s back, you can still sign up for the Afterpay pre-sale HERE.
