Nottingham Forest players have responded to Richie Laryea's reaction to receiving a call-up to represent Canada at the World Cup.
Laryea is currently on a season-long loan at Toronto FC having struggled to break into the team following his move to the City Ground earlier this year. Prior to his loan switch, he made five appearances last season, and only one of those came in the starting XI.
For Toronto, however, he has played in the last ten games after joining half-way through the season in the summer. Despite the low number of appearances this campaign, the 27-year-old will be on the plane to Qatar to play in a major tournament for the first time in his career.

To mark the occasion, Laryea took to Instagram as he wrote: "Never stop dreaming! World Cup loading..." Many interacted with the post as messages of congratulations emerged.
Amongst those were his Forest team-mates Alex Mighten, currently on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, said: "What a guy," followed by starstruck emojis. Brennan Johnson and Coventry City loanee Jonathan Panzo responded with emojis as the congratulations continued.
Former players Philip Zinckernagel and Lyle Taylor were also among those to wish Laryea all the best, as was ex-Reds loanee Djed Spence who is now at Tottenham Hotspur.
