DJ Stephen 'tWitch' Boss, who is best known for his appearances on the Ellen Degeneres Show, has died at the age of 40.
According to TMZ, his cause of death is suicide, but there has been no official statement from police to confirm the circumstances surrounding the incident.
It believed his body was discovered after his wife Allison Holker contacted the Los Angeles Police Department after Stephen left home without his car, which is said to have been unusual.
A short time later officers are said to have been called to reports of a shooting within a Los Angeles hotel, and discovered his body with a self inflicted gunshot wound, writes The Mirror.
His wife told People: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us.
"Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him.
"He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.
"To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt."
She added: "I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory.
"We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our three children. Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you."
It was in 2008 when he first stepped into the famous spotlight when he wowed with his dance skills on So You Think You Can Dance.
