DJ Khaled joins David Beckham and other celebrities to watch Messi’s first Inter Miami start

A galaxy of showbiz stars were in the crowd to watch Lionel Messi’s triumphant first start for Inter Miami on Tuesday night.

The Argentinian World Cup winner, 36, bagged a couple of goals as David Beckham’s Major League Soccer team cruised to a 4-0 win against Atlanta United.

Among the 21,000-strong crowd in Fort Lauderdale were supermodel Karlie Kloss, Puerto Rican singer Rauw Alejandro, rapper Sean Combs – formerly Diddy – and DJ Khaled.

Enjoying the festivities alongside DJ Khaled was his seven-year-old son Asahd, who walked out with Messi as a mascot before kick-off.

The little one was even comforted by the football legend after appearing to be overwhelmed by the noise.

It was the former Barcelona star’s second game for the MLS side since he signed earlier in the month in a deal worth up to $60 million (£46m)-a-season in wages.

Havana singer Camila Cabello also took to the pitch for a picture with Beckham, who looked understandable happy as he watched the match with wife Victoria.

The celebrities were the ones being entertained as Messi scored two out of the four goals by the homeside in what seems an inevitable sign of things to come.

Elsewhere in the celebrity-meets-football world, Kim Kardashian posed for a selfie with Brazilian star Neymar after watching his Paris Saint-Germain take on Saudia Arabian side Al-Nassr in a friendly in Osaka, Japan.

The 42-year-old and her son Saint West, seven, travelled to the otherside of the world for the special game which saw Neymar face Cristiano Ronaldo’s Middle Eastern side.

Following the game, both footballers spent time hanging out with Kardashian and her son, who is a big football fan.

Just last week, the mother and son caught Messi’s debut for Inter Miami when they played Mexican side Cruz Azul in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
