DJ Akademiks says NBA YoungBoy tried to contact Kai Cenat over cheating rumors

Kai Cenat Akademiks NBA YoungBoy X

DJ Akademiks has added new details to the ongoing drama involving Kai Cenat, NBA YoungBoy, and rumors of an alleged affair. Speaking on stream, Akademiks claimed that NBA YoungBoy personally attempted to reach out to Kai Cenat to clear his name after online speculation linked him to Kai’s ex-girlfriend, Gigi Alayah. According to Akademiks, Kai did not respond to the outreach, which has left NBA YoungBoy’s camp frustrated. They believe the rumor has continued to spread because there was no direct conversation to shut it down early, despite YoungBoy strongly denying any involvement.

The controversy began shortly after Kai Cenat announced his breakup on December 27, 2025, posting online that he was single and stepping away from relationships. Soon after, unverified posts started circulating on X, claiming Gigi Alayah had cheated on Kai with NBA YoungBoy. The story quickly gained traction across social media, pulling multiple high-profile names into the discussion. Gigi later responded publicly, denying the allegations and stating she ended the relationship herself, never cheated, and had no connection to NBA YoungBoy.
