KURUKSHETRA: In a state-level event organized in Kurukshetra to observe Partition Horrors Remembrance Day (Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas), it was announced that world-class "Shaheedi Smarak" (martyrdom memorial) will be built by private Panchnad Smarak Trust in about 25 acres near Pipli in Kurukshetra district, to remember those who were martyred at the time of partition of country.

Haryana chief minister (CM) Manohar Lal Khattar attended the event as chief guest and called upon the trust to start the construction work of "Shaheedi Smarak" at the earliest, which will be run and managed by Panchnad Smarak Trust.
