Diversity Visas: U.S. Sets Final Cutoff for South America and the Caribbean at 4,750 Ahead of September 30th

Diversity visa selectees from South America and the Caribbean whose lottery rank numbers fall below 4,750 have until September 30, 2026 to finish their cases, and once that date passes, the DV-2026 program closes for good. For families who have waited months for a green card through the lottery, the final hours may matter more than any stretch that came before.

The 4,750 figure is a ceiling on rank numbers, not a count of winners
