NEW DELHI: Delhi High Court on Friday extended the stay on the Centre’s move to divert power supply meant for Delhi to Haryana from a Dadri plant till April 29.
“Well, the lights are still on,” Justice Yashwant Varma remarked, as he started hearing the matter. Appearing for the Centre, additional solicitor general (ASG) Chetan Sharma contended that the request for de-allocation was from 2015. “From this very quota, there have been five-six de-allocations, they can’t now claim to be surprised by this,” the ASG said, seeking two weeks to file a reply. The court then posted the matter for April 29.
