Disturbing images show bloody handprints of Glasgow 'machete' attack victim on flat stairway walls

Police Glasgow Police Scotland Queen Elizabeth University Hospital

Disturbing images have shown the bloody handprints of a 'machete' attack victim who was targeted by thugs in a flat stairway in Glasgow.

The horror incident occurred shortly after 7pm on Saturday, October 8 when a blood-soaked man was left looking like he had been 'hacked with a machete' on Shettleston Road, near Parkhead.

Shocking photos taken within the tenement block, which were shared by a resident with the Record, show tiles on the inside of the close streaked with blood, dripping from what appears to be a handprint.
