A visibly distraught Jordan Henderson appeared close to tears as he fronted up to the media for the final time of Liverpool’s marathon season.
The Reds captain was barely two hours removed from Champions League final heartache against Real Madrid but was still more than willing to give up his time as he tried to make sense of how the evening panned out.
After the Reds' 63rd game of a memorable campaign ended on the most sour of notes against the now 14-time winners in Paris, Henderson did his best to detail the raw emotions that were still being felt on an evening that was sadly marred by shocking organisation and the horrendous treatment of supporters outside the Stade de France.
