A new space offering gin tasting, distillery experiences and and a bar could be opening in Chepstow.
Plans have been submitted to Monmouthshire County Council by Wye Valley based Silver Circle Distillery.
The shop would be located on Moor Street, opposite the police station, and is currently used as a photography studio.

Under the plans, Silver Circle Distillery will sell their own products as well as some made by other producers. There will be "make your own gin" distillery classes, as well as guided tasting experiences.
The company will also host talks and workshops about alcohol production method and history of different spirits. On a day-to-day basis, the bar will be used to serve tasting boards and cocktails.
A supporting statement to the plans says: “Chepstow has several pubs and restaurants, but not a lot to offer when it comes to bookable tourist experiences.
“The experience side of the business would give tourists something to do, and attract additional visitors from outside of the local area.
“Our main distillery site in Catbrook is already attracting tourists from all over the country.
“The Chepstow site would allow for more people to have easy access to the same experiences, in a town centre environment where they will also visit other businesses on the same trip.”
It goes on to say: "There are several empty units near this unit, and on Chepstow high street. Turning this unit into an active experience space and shop will help revitalise the town centre, and make sure this unit doesn’t become dead space."
Normal opening hours would be from 10am until 6pm, unless there is a scheduled event. In this case, the space could be open until 11pm.
If approved, the mixed-use shop will provide at least two jobs, with more employment possible during busy periods.
Monmouthshire County Council planning committee will consider the plans in due course.
