A person has sadly been hit by a train in Darlington this morning, leading to rail delays across the North East.
The London North Eastern Railway (LNER) took to social media to warn of delays locally, confirming that one person had been struck by a train.
LNER said: "Due to a person being hit by a train at Darlington services in the area may be subject to delays."
