Good Morning Britain viewers have slammed host Susanna Reid for heckling MPs as they headed into No 10 this morning (Oct 25). The ITV presenter stood outside Downing Street, reporting live back to the studio, ahead of new Tory leader and Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's arrival.
While outside the office, Susanna interviewed Tory MP Victoria Atkins about the newly elected Prime Minister. While in mid-sentence, the GMB host then cut her off and "rudely" interrupted the MP to shout questions at Grant Shapps and other MPs as they entered No 10, as reported by the Express.
While Victoria Atkins was responding to Susanna's questions via a video feed from Westminster, the TV star quickly yelled: "Will you keep your job, Mr Hunt?"

She then added: "I'm so sorry to interrupt Victoria, I know you were making an important point about the new Prime Minister's family values but I just wanted to draw viewers' attention to the fact Chancellor Jeremy Hunt is in."
Moments after her apology, Susanna then shouted out again, asking: "Penny Mordaunt, what words have you got for Liz Truss on her final day? Will you get a new job under the new Prime Minister?"
Susanna then said sorry once more to Victoria Atkins: "You know the drill Victoria Atkins as the ministers go in it is our obligation to put the questions to them." The MP went on to admit that Susanna's heckling was "very loud" in her earpiece.
Viewers watching the segment from home quickly flooded Twitter with comments about Susanna's interview, as many branded her 'disrespectful'.
@Mofoman360 posted: "#GMB how incredibly rude of Susanna just then this lady has just been put up for an interview and to be interrupted like that is disrespectful."
@Fibutton added: "Susanna yelling like a fishwife at govt ministers going into number 10, whilst in the middle of an interview was a bit rude. It's not a red carpet event! #gmb."
@Butterb2012 said: "Oh Susanna please don't heckle, you're not an old fish wife. It so doesn't become you." @Christopher_T42 put: "Susanna bellowing at Jeremy Hunt as Victoria Atkins is answering her question is just rude, especially as none of answer as they're going into Number 10 #gmb."
Meanwhile, others praised Susanna. @SParker616 tweeted: "Given the utter nonsense Victoria Atkins was saying about us being so lucky to live in a country where a peaceful transition can take place, it's fine for Susanna to interrupt. #GMB." @Speedqueenie wrote: "Loving Susanna's Downing Street reporting #GMB @susannareid100."
Rishi Sunak is scheduled to make his first speech as Prime Minister outside Number 10 at 11.35am.
Good Morning Britain airs on weekdays from 6am on ITV.
