ORLANDO, Fla. — Walt Disney World will start selling three levels of its annual passes to its theme parks again as of April 20, the company announced. Coming back this month are the Incredi-Pass, the Sorcerer Pass and the Pirate Pass — all of which saw price increases of $50 to $100 in December.
The passes will be available online.
Sales were suspended in November 2021, more than 18 months after the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, though standing passholders have been allowed to renew their passes.
The Incredi-Pass, which has no black-out dates, will sell for $1,399 for a year’s access. It includes standard parking and discounts on select merchandise and dining.
The Sorcerer Pass will be $969. For Florida residents and Disney Vacation Club members only, it also includes parking and select discounts. It had carried black-out dates around Thanksgiving and Christmastime.
The Pirate Pass costs $749 and comes with additional black-out dates around more holidays such as Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. Like the others, it includes parking and select discounts.
Disney has continued to sell its Pixie Dust Pass, and its price will remain at $399. That ticket is for Florida residents and gives access to theme parks Mondays through Fridays.
Admission to Disney’s water parks can be added to any of the four passes for $99.
A limited number of passes will be available, and Disney could clamp down on purchases in the future.
The new-sales date comes two days after Disney’s park reservations system gets tweaked. As of April 18, Walt Disney World annual passholders will be able to go to a theme park after 2 p.m. without holding a reservation. The exception will be Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays.
Disney World first suspended sales of new annual passes during its four-month shutdown for the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. At the time, some experts told the Sentinel that pass sales might not return until early 2022. Disney resumed the sales in September 2021 with new prices, restrictions and names, ditching the silver-gold-platinum names for annual pass levels, before suspending sales again that November.
