Disney just released a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming Epic Mickey: Rebrushed that shows players a glimpse of what to expect with the remake.
The footage begins with Mickey being thrust into the Wasteland that was created by the sorcerer Yen Sid for "forgotten things." Players will control the titular protagonist as they dive into the fantastical world of the game.

They will be able to shape the adventure to change the fate of the Wasteland in order to restore harmony. The latest trailer, which lasted roughly two minutes, included gameplay footage, such as a classic platforming level and a boss fight.
Players are now able to pre-order the game right now in order to receive an exclusive Mickey Mouse costume pack as well as 24-hour early access before the game's official release, according to CBR.
The announcement of the game came at a Nintendo Direct: Partner showcase that was held on Feb. 21, 2024. At the time, it was THQ Nordic that revealed the game, which is a remake of the original 2010 action-adventure platformer Epic Mickey.
The studio said that Epic Mickey: Rebrushed was being developed by Purple Lamp in partnership with Disney Games. Similar to the base game, the remake focuses on Mickey Mouse and how he accidentally damages the world created by Yen Sid.
The game will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC on Sept. 24, 2024, and features improved graphics, sound, and controls over the original title, said MyNintendoNews.

Epic Mickey: Rebrushed features many Disney characters who seem to have been forgotten and lost to time, including Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Horace Horsecollar, and Clarabelle Cow. In the Wasteland, you wield a magical paintbrush that can erase the past or restore it.
There has been a lot of meta-commentary regarding Mickey's success as the face of Disney since 1928. Many people have also been talking about the character's impact on those around him.
Other than improving various technical aspects of the game, the remake is said to be a one-to-one recreation of the original platforming adventure, according to GameSpot.
Another thing that many players have seen in the latest trailer is that the remake will not be including voice acting in its cutscenes. This came as a bit of a letdown to some fans who were hoping to get a much more immersive experience in modern consoles.
