Good news for fans of everybody's favourite friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man with Disney Plus confirming that a whole host of the movies – both from Sony and Marvel – will be arriving on the streaming platform imminently.
The Walt Disney Company made the announcement today (via Twitter) revealing that five Spider-Man movies will be released over the coming month. This includes Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3 starring Tobey Maguire, The Amazing Spider-Man starring Andrew Garfield and Spider-Man: Homecoming starring current web-slinger, Tom Holland. It was also revealed that Tom Hardy's Venom abomination, I mean movie, will be available to stream on Disney Plus shortly too.
This is the first time the Sony Spider-Man movies have arrived on Disney Plus in the US with the licensing being held by the former, so clearly the two companies have struck a new deal of some kind. How long that lasts is hard to say with Disney unlikely to make a big announcement about when the films ultimately leave the service.

- Spider-Man 3 (2007) – April 21st, 2023
- The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) – April 21st, 2023
- Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) – May 12th, 2023
- Venom (2018) – May 12th, 2023

The live-action Spider-Man films now missing from Disney Plus are The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home. Venom: Let There be Carnage and Morbius are also missing, though as someone that sat through both in cinema, I'm not sure that's a bad thing.
Disney did note that "additional titles from Sony Pictures' film and television library are expected to premiere on Disney Plus in the US later this year" so who knows what might be added. This could be the Spider-Verse animated movie in preparation for its sequel in June, or it could be the aforementioned missing titles. We'll have to wait and see. Either way, it's a great excuse for a rewatch.
A handful of Spider-Man films made their way to Disney Plus in the UK last year. The only difference was that the UK received The Amazing Spider-Man 2 instead of Spider-Man 3. Now there's a debate for you! More was then added as the year went on, although, many have slowly been removed with Spider-Man: Far From Home being the sole remaining Spidey flick on Disney Plus at this moment of writing.
