MUMBAI: Union minister Narayan Rane and his MLA son Nitesh have been booked for allegedly making defamatory and derogatory statements about the death of Disha Salian (28), talent manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

The FIR was registered against the Ranes-both belonging to BJP-late on Saturday based on an inquiry by Malwani police on the directions of Maharashtra State Commission for Women (MSCW) following complaints by mayor Kishori Pednekar and Disha's parents.
