Ben Shelton and Carlos Alcaraz may have put on one of the best US Open quarter-finals in years, but organisers have been criticised after the match finished at 3.33am, the latest finish in US Open history.
Alcaraz had defied concerns over his long layoff due to a wrist injury but came undone against American eighth seed Shelton, who will play countryman Frances Tiafoe for a place in the final.
