An anti-immigration group has delivered right-wing leaflets to households in Dundee.
The inflammatory literature was produced by politcal group Patriotic Alternative and landed on doorsteps in Broughty Ferry over the weekend.
SNP councillor Lynne Short described the contents as "disgusting" and said that Dundee "is not the place to launch these narratives".
The SNP politician has notified police Scotland about the leaflets but fears no action may follow because they were printed in England.
Ms Short told Dundee Live: “Yesterday a few of us were out canvassing in the Ferry, the Ballinard Road area.
“One of the doors chapped was a friend of mine and she was so upset as this attached leaflet had been posted through her door.
“I’ve not seen them elsewhere across the city and I'm maybe drawing conclusions but we do have a BAME candidate running on the Ferry.”
And she added: “I'm sure you & the vast majority of your readers would condemn this disgusting narrative.
“I hope you can tell your readership and wider Scotland that Dundee is not the place to flaunt these ideas.
“We stand against this across all political parties, and have done so often.
“Dundee is an open and welcoming city that has been a safe haven for many people over the years and our differences are what make us special.”
The leaflet doesn’t hold back in its criticism of immigration and the alleged effects migrants are having on UK society.
It says: “This rapid expansion of the migrant population not only brings white Britons ever closer to becoming a minority, but it also has a number of negative effects on our everyday lives.
“Doctor’s surgeries are overcrowded with people who cannot speak English.”
And it added: “Immigration is not enriching Britain - it is making life worse for the vast majority of people.
“But it isn’t just about waiting lists and rising prices - mass immigration has an effect on our culture, our ways of life and even our safety.
“If you want to se an end to mass immigration - join like minded Patriotic people and help make a difference.”
Patriotic Alternative describes itself as “a community building and activism group that was founded in September 2019 by Mark Collett” on its website.
It claims its aim is to raise awareness of issues such as “the demographic decline of native Britons in the United Kingdom, the environmental impact of mass immigration and the indoctrination and political bias taking place in British schools.”
It claims to hold regular nationwide events and activities, such as conferences and camping trips, as well as having smaller, regional groups scattered across the UK - including Scotland - who hold local events.
