Olympic discus bronze medallist Matt Denny has soared to fifth on the all-time list, crashed through the 70-metre barrier for the first time and obliterated his personal best with a monster throw of 72.07m in the United States.
Denny dominated his event in Ramona on Sunday (Monday AEST), smashing his previous PB of 69.96m with the winning throw in the third round, and backing that up with another huge heave of 71.12m in the final round.
