A Nottinghamshire-based discount store will open two new branches in the county over the coming weeks. Stock Giant opened its first high street store in Sutton-in-Ashfield six months ago and later opened up two more shops in Hucknall and Worksop.
In September, the business was informed that Stock Monster, a fellow discount retailer which operated under a similar business model, was heading for administration. Stock Giant then bought Stock Monster's former stores in Mansfield and Arnold, meaning they now have six stores across Nottinghamshire.
Stock Giant retail operations manager, John Cartledge said: "Our first concern was to ensure that all Stock Monster staff had the opportunity to interview for Stock Giant so that they had continued employment."
