Disability funding 'dreadfully unfair' if you're diagnosed over 65, says motor neurone disease support group

For people with motor neurone disease (MND) who need care, equipment and home modifications, one day can mean the difference between $50,000 or $500,000 in funding each year.

Support group MND Victoria says an "arbitrary cut-off" means those diagnosed before the age of 65 are funded under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), while those diagnosed after that age are covered only by an aged-care package.
