NEW DELHI: Dipa Karmakar, the renowned Indian gymnast, secured her spot in the women's vault final at the ongoing FIG Apparatus World Cup in Doha, which also serves as a Paris Olympics qualifying event. Despite finishing sixth in the qualifying round, her performance was sufficient to earn her a place in the finals.
The 30-year-old athlete, who previously achieved a commendable fourth-place finish at the Baku Apparatus World Cup in Azerbaijan, demonstrated her skill and determination once again. She scored 12.500 in the first vault and 13.066 in the second vault, accumulating a total score of 12.783.
