Diogo Dalot pokes fun at Manchester United teammate Tyrell Malacia over time they played against each other

Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot has poked fun at Tyrell Malacia after an old video of their pair playing against each other came to light.

Erik ten Hag is a manager that knows just how important it is to have attacking full-backs in his tactical set-up. The arrival of Malacia this summer was a clear sign of how he wanted his side to be aggressive in their approach, as the 23-year-old was one of six new signings at Old Trafford ahead of the September 1 deadline.

The resurgence of Luke Shaw has seen Malacia play second-fiddle to the England international recently, yet there is no doubting the talents that the new signing has. On the other side of defence, Dalot has been superb for United this season, with his performances at right-back making him one of the first names on Erik ten Hag's teamsheet ahead of kick-off.

The Portuguese full-back has been a constant attacking outlet for United, and if anyone should know how dangerous he can be going forward, it should be Malacia. The pair came up against one another in the Under 17 European Championships, for Portugal and Netherlands respectively, and Malacia saw first-hand back in 2016 just how good Dalot can be.

The right-back got the better of his teammate down the right wing, as he calmly shifted his weight to drive to the by-line, before firing past the goalkeeper from a tight angle. Although there is little doubt that the keeper should have done better, it was Dalot's quick change of direction and pace that saw him skip past Malacia, despite the Dutch international's last-ditch challenge.

To add insult to injury, Dalot shared the post with the caption: "Good memories @TyrellMalaciia".
