Diogo Dalot notched only his second-ever goal for Manchester United in Thursday's routine 3-0 Europa League victory over FC Sheriff.
It was his first goal since scoring in a thumping FA Cup win at Tranmere back in January 2020. The right-back, who has been an ever-present this term having started every league and European game, nodded in a corner from Christian Eriksen before Marcus Rashford and Cristiano Ronaldo added gloss to the proceedings.
Dalot celebrated his goal by mimicking a pulse check and the celebration was explained by the defender last year in a matchday programme.

"Ah yes ‘check the pulse’!" he said. "It’s a funny thing. I had a couple of friends in the national team and we were playing Uno and, when we are putting down the +4 cards, everybody was like this (points to neck) because we didn’t have any more +4 cards. It’s an original thing, it’s not something I’ve seen before and it’s a good one! I will definitely do it for my next goal!"
Dalot was true to his word although he will hope he doesn't have another two-and-a-half year wait for his next United strike.
