For many of us, the biggest appeal of PlayStation Plus Premium is all those PS1 games, and the service’s recent release in Asia might’ve accidentally revealed that a survival horror cult classic might be coming back.
Several PS Plus subscribers in Asia have spotted Dino Crisis artwork on the service’s classics catalog page (Thanks, Resetera). The image in question is of series protagonist Regina looking all determined, as you do while fighting dinosaurs. Hopefully, she wasn’t cut from the school gymnastics team.
There’s been no mention of Dino Crisis on any list regarding PS1 titles on the PS Plus revamp. There’s no download option for the game, even in territories where that image appears. So who knows what the deal is.

Dino Crisis came out on the original PlayStation back in 1999. It’s pretty much just old-school Resident Evil with dinosaurs, but hey, Shinji Mikami directed both! All I remember about it is there are lots of annoying passcode puzzles and incredibly difficult fights with velociraptors. That, and the Tyrannosaurus rex was scarier than any game that came out within the past decade. Granted, I was like eight, so maybe it’s not that bad.
If Dino Crisis is indeed coming to the new PS Plus, there’s a chance it could have trophy support like Syphon Filter.
