Memphis Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks has been something of a thorn in the Los Angeles Lakers’ side during the first-round NBA playoff series between the two teams.
He has directed some trash talk at LeBron James, not to mention a shot in the groin during Game 3, and he is as physical and chippy a player as one will find in the league.

He has shot below 40 percent from the field in each of his five games versus L.A., including a 3-of-15 clunker in Game 5. His 3-point shooting has been particularly chilly, which has allowed the Lakers to focus more on stopping Ja Morant and Desmond Bane without having to be concerned about Brooks getting hot.
But Brooks said after Game 5 that he believes he is due to get hot from downtown any day now (h/t Lakers Daily).
“I’m used to a certain standard for myself. … One of these games I’m going to break out for three or four threes and change the game.” 👀

The Lakers still hold a 3-2 series lead despite dropping Game 5, but Game 6 in Los Angeles on Friday is taking on the feel of a must-win contest for the Purple and Gold.
