Dillian Whyte Next Fight: Could Whyte Face 'AJ' Again In 2025?

The Dillian Whyte next fight could see the former world title challenger in a huge all-British heavyweight clash in 2025. Could we see ‘The Body Snatcher’ in the ring again with bitter rival Anthony Joshua next?

Dillian Whyte Next Fight: Who Is ‘The Body Snatcher’ Going To Face Next?

Dillian Whyte was last in action just before Christmas, fighting twice in 2024 after a 14 month absence from the ring due to failing a performance enhancing drugs test (later confirmed as a contaminated substance). As we head into 2025, various names are being thrown about as potential opponents for Dillian Whyte’s next fight.

‘The Body Snatcher’ was supposed to fight Anthony Joshua on August 12th in 2023, but then failed the aforementioned drugs test. Since then, he has beaten Christian Hammer in three rounds and Ebenezer Tetteh in seven rounds, with momentum and confidence heading into the New Year.

That brings us to the Dillian Whyte next fight, which could be a huge all-British clash. Whether it be Joe Joyce, Lawrence Okolie, the Derek Chisora trilogy or even the Anthony Joshua rematch, there are plenty of options for Whyte going forward.

The 36-year-old is used to being the favourite with the best betting apps in the UK apart from his fights against ‘AJ’ and Tyson Fury, but would likely be an underdog against Okolie now too if they were to fight. Time will tell who is next for ‘The Body Snatcher’ as we head into the New Year.

Although he has lost a few fights, it’s got to be respected that Whyte has shared the ring with the likes of Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Joseph Parker and Derek Chisora twice. ‘The Body Snatcher’ remains a big name in British boxing circles, and will be hoping for a huge year in 2025.

Could Dillian Whyte’s Next Fight Be The Anthony Joshua Rematch, Or Lawrence Okolie Bout?

All roads could lead to a potential Anthony Joshua rematch in 2025, now that Dillian Whyte is officially back and winning fights. This seems like the obvious fight to make for both ‘AJ’ and Whyte, who were scheduled to fight in August 2023 before Whyte tested positive for PEDs.

Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn, who also promoted Whyte for a period, could make that fight as a tasty return clash for ‘AJ’. It looks like Joshua mightn’t get the Daniel Dubois rematch until later in 2025, or the Tyson Fury clash that British boxing fans have been waiting years for.

In the interim, a fight with Dillian Whyte in the first half of the year could make total sense. For ‘The Body Snatcher’, he is unlikely to get another world heavyweight title shot, unless he comes through someone like Joshua.

The best boxing betting sites in the UK will likely favour Joshua heavily for a rematch with Whyte. However, Whyte is a big puncher and the pair have history, so write him off at your peril.

Other possible names for Whyte are fights against the likes of Jarrell Miller, Lawrence Okolie, the Derek Chisora trilogy, Joe Joyce or perhaps even Moses Itauma. Time will tell if any of these bouts come to fruition for the Dillian Whyte next fight.

If His Excellency Turki Alalshikh continues with his heavy involvement in boxing, Dillian Whyte could be a name to feature on the Riyadh Season cards going forward. But first, he must get another couple of wins under his belt.
