Nottingham Forest supporters have singled Ryan Yates out for praise but little else following their 3-0 defeat against Manchester United.
Two goals in the space of three first-half minutes from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial opened the scoring and doubled the lead for the hosts at Old Trafford. Forest did have the ball in the back of the net before half-time, but after a three-minute delay, the goal from Willy Boly was ruled out for offside.
Forest fans have now turned their attention to the new year and upcoming matches against Chelsea, and, more importantly, Southampton. Here is a selection of the social media reaction to that first Premier League match back.

Debs: Yates was the best player with the most fight once again.
Elisa: It's not a good performance. Games like this won't decide relegation for anyone, what we do at home is what will decide whether we are relegated or not, then if we can pick up points against the small teams away we should be fine.
Sam Rowan: Three basic errors, three goals. Nothing else will matter if we keep that up.
Rhys Williams: Once again conceding goals in quick succession is our undoing. A few positives for sure but we’ve got to show more backbone, particularly away from home
Dave Smith: Games like tonight against opposition in the top eight won’t define our season. However, games like the one away at St Mary’s absolutely will. Believe.
Gareth Parkin: Not our worst performance at all but the bottle and work rate pre-World Cup wasn't remotely evident. Same old away issue of being poor in both boxes.
Rowan: Will never say I’m happy with a 3-0 defeat, but proud of that Forest side and not an overly bad performance. Ryan Yates, yet again, proving he’s a different class. Like Chris Cohen with added Chris Cohen. Will always be my kind of player.
