Diesel gas prices have hit an all-time high as the Iran and Ukraine wars continue to put pressure on refinery production and disrupt supply chains.
AAA showed on Friday that a gallon of diesel is now $5.85, up about 23 cents in the last week. Compared to the same time last year, diesel is now more than $2.13 per gallon higher. That 57 percent year-over-year rise in the price of diesel largely correlates with the start of the Iran war in February, which had an immediate impact on oil prices.
