Diego Luna thinks Andor and Han Solo would be friends, but that there's one droid Cassian wouldn't get on with

Diego Luna in Andor season 2.

Andor star Diego Luna has thoughts on who Cassian might have been friends with if he'd survived past Rogue One.

Cassian died helping to send the Death Star plans to the Rebellion during Rogue One, and Luna reprised his role for two seasons of Andor. The second season became the most critically acclaimed live-action Star Wars project ever.

"Han Solo. Right?" Luna said at MegaCon 2026 (H/T Popverse), when asked who Cassian might have befriended if he'd lived. "We could be playing on those nights with Melshi, and K2, and myself. Drinking at night in Yavin and playing cards."

But, there's one droid Luna isn't so sure of, when asked who wouldn't get along with Cassian. "Probably C-3PO. In Mexico, we call it Citripio. Yeah, too serious," he said. "We all need a little C-3PO to get back on track, but Cassian would have definitely long nights with no sleep with Han Solo."

Andor season 2 wrapped up on Disney Plus last year, bringing Cassian's story to an emotional conclusion. Next up for Star Wars is Maul – Shadow Lord this April 6, which will be followed on the big screen by The Mandalorian and Grogu this May 22.

"Maul is a character that's our responsibility," Dave Filoni has teased of Shadow Lord. "George [Lucas] and I had had some talks about Maul over the years and what his plans for Maul had been. And so I felt it was a way of honoring that future that we were going to have and finally bringing some of it to light."
