Jurgen Klopp appears to share the same view as a former Manchester United player over Liverpool-linked striker Darwin Nunez.
The Reds have been credited with an interest in the Benfica frontman over the past few months. Nunez’s form for the Portuguese outfit has seen a host of clubs from across Europe linked with his services, most notably in the Premier League.
Man United, West Ham, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have all been linked with Nunez at some point over the past few months. It is thought that the 22-year-old has a valuation of around £80million, after he scored 34 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions this term.

One of those goals was in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Liverpool. After that match in Portugal, which the Reds won 3-1 in April, Klopp was full of praise for the Uruguay international.
“An extremely good looking boy, eh? He is a really good boy,” said Klopp.
“He played in front of me battling against [Ibrahima] Konate. He was calm for the finish.
“He is good, really good. If he stays healthy, he has a big career ahead of him”.
Now Klopp’s comments appear to have been echoed by former Man United striker Diego Forlan. The fellow Uruguayan has outlined why Nunez's form in the Champions League this season is evidence of the striker's quality.
"I think that he is a very good player, a good kid who is doing really well at Benfica and is enjoying a strong season,” Forlan told Breaking the Lines .
“It is not just the Portuguese league where he is doing well but in the Champions League too, where he scored six goals this season and helped take Benfica to the quarter finals.
“He is a player who has a lot of potential and he could fit in at Manchester United. But obviously, everyone needs to have patience, although he is getting better with more and more experience.
“He would not be a bad signing for Manchester United and it would be nice to see him there.
“It is a club that gives you time, that makes you feel comfortable and as if you are in a familiar place, very cosy and nice. It would be spectacular having him playing for Manchester United.”
