Rangers fans have been in party mode at Prestwick Airport as they jet off to Seville.
Sombreros, the occasional beach ball and sunglasses were at the ready as they headed to sunny Spain for the Europa League Final.
Tens of thousands of fans have been on their way this week for tomorrow’s showdown between Rangers and Eintracht Frankfurt.
It is expected that around 100,000 will make the trip abroad utilising trains, planes and motors to be there for the huge occassion.
On Monday, flights to Faro, Malaga and Alicante were packed with supporters, with airport bosses telling how every flight was full.
Ayrshire Live were there to meet with die-hard Light Blues with two fans Gordon and Ross Anderson from Cumnock buzzing to get on board.
Meanwhile one Rangers-daft Ayr fan helped fly 67 of his mates in a private charter flight from the airport’s flight centre.
Jonny Faulkner, 19, will be in the cockpit of the Boeing 737 VIP aircraft left for Andalusia today.
The fully qualified pilot embarked on the dream journey combining his two passions flying and football.
Our sister paper the Sunday Mail told how Jonny will be helping to jet 56 of his fellow supporters in the luxury private jet used by Cristiano Ronaldo, with seats on the liner costing £2,000 each.
Jonny, from Ayr, said: “I can’t believe I’m getting to do it – this is a dream come true.
“I’ve been a Rangers fan all my life and I go to games with my grandad at Ibrox, so it is incredible to be a part of this.
“My job is flying smaller aircraft around Europe. I won’t be the pilot on this operation but I will be in the jumpseat in the cockpit.
It is expected that more than 100,000 fans have made the journey to Seville, with only 9,500 tickets available for the clash at the 42,700 capacity Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
But around 60,000 ticketless fans have been given the opportunity to cheer on Giovanni Van Bronckhorst's side from the 57,000 57,000-capacity Estadio La Cartuja.
A spokesperson for Glasgow Prestwick Airport told the Post: “Fans have been getting to Seville any way they can.
“Every flight is full, popular flights have been to Malaga and Faro, but supporters are even travelling to Alicante and making onward journeys from there.”
