It's Christmas season. The weather is chilly, the festive food is ready and there's simply no escape from Christmas music.
And what better way to really get into the Christmas spirit than to pop on your favourite festive film? Die Hard is a Christmas classic - or is it? It's an age-old argument that will no doubt crop up in conversation around the dinner table.
While there's still debate over whether Die Hard is a festive film or not, there's no arguing that it IS an iconic action-thriller. It skyrocketed Bruce Willis' career, turning a comedy actor into an action hero.
After, he went on to star in Sci-Fi action hit Armageddon and thriller The Sixth Sense. As for Die Hard - it made a sweet $141.5 million in the box office, according to estimations.
It also grew into a franchise, with Die Hard 2 (1990), Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), Live Free or Die Hard (2007) and A Good Day To Die Hard (2013) completing the five-film series. The original Die Hard might have hit cinemas some 34 years ago, but it's still a popular movie, with some theatres screening it around this time of year.
