Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been told to launch a shock pursuit for Newcastle United midfielder Joelinton as he would be the 'perfect' fit for his impending rebuild.
Liverpool plan to revamp their engine room in the summer with several signings to offset James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain departing the club. Brighton star Alexis Mac Allister is thought to be a prime target in that respect.
However, there are other names on the radar, such as Mason Mount, Nicolo Barella and Ryan Gravenberch, while former Liverpool and Newcastle midfielder Dietmar Hamann admits he would love to see Joelinton make the move he made all those years ago.

Having initially struggled on these shores, the Brazilian forward-turned midfielder has been a shining light for the Champions League-bound Magpies in their successful top-four push this season.
During an interview with i news, in which he was pressed on potential summer targets, Hamann said: "I'd like a player like Joelinton from Newcastle, who's got a physical presence."
Hamann continued: "The players Liverpool have got are all very similar. If you look at the size of the Newcastle team and size isn't everything, but when you stand in the tunnel and see these guys you think 'wow' - because they're not just big, they can play as well.
"I would like a player of Joelinton's stature, who can make a goal, has got a physical presence and good on the ball, he's just an all-round player and hasn't got too many defensive responsibilities with one player behind him. A player with a physical presence would suit Liverpool very well."
Hamann, 49, spent 11 years in the Premier League during his career. Having touched down in the UK with Newcastle before the 1998/1999 season, he headed to Anfield only 11 months later to make 283 appearances in all competitions, as well as winning nine major trophies.
