Pundit Richard Keys says Morgan Gibbs-White's goal against Crystal Palace over the weekend should not have stood.
Gibbs-White scored the only goal of the game as Forest secured all three points, lifting the Reds up to 18th in the Premier League table ahead of the World Cup. While it was just a third win of the season for Forest, it was an important one in terms of confidence and momentum going into the break.
It was just a second goal of the season for Gibbs-White, who scored the rebound from a Brennan Johnson shot to seal the three points for Forest. The goal was checked for offside by VAR, but was eventually awarded by referee John Brooks after a lengthy check.

But for Keys, the spoils should have been shared with Gibbs-White offside from the initial cross, according to the pundit. He spoke about the incident in the latest instalment of his weekly column, which he publishes on his website.
He wrote: "A quick word on VAR - Brighton should’ve had a pen v Villa when Digne mis-timed a challenge on March I’m tired of asking how VAR misses these things. We know now - because the operators aren’t good enough.
"And Forest’s goal v Palace shouldn’t have stood. Gibbs-White was off-side from the original cross. I didn’t need lines to see that."
