Phoenix Mercury superstar Diana Taurasi perfectly summed up her thoughts ahead of her first WNBA showdown with Caitlin Clark on Sunday.
The Indiana Fever rookie guard has turned into a media and audience sensation since joining the pros, and Clark’s on-court play has established her as one of the brightest stars of the WNBA’s future.
Taurasi hasn’t hidden her stern feelings about Clark’s WNBA arrival, which should make this a highly entertaining game to see how the two play against each other and to find out if there really is a rivalry at work.
As Clark and Taurasi finally square off in Phoenix this weekend, Taurasi was asked how she feels ahead of the marquee matchup. Her response was predictably fantastic and delightfully blunt.
“Yeah, it’ll be fun,” Taurasi told reporters, via Desert Wave Media.
