Diana Ross 'snubs' Chester-le-Street with noticeable silence after early exit

Diana Ross has appeared to ‘snub’ fans who went to see her at Chester-le-Street this week after failing to mention the show on her social media at all.

The music megastar, famous for songs like Chain Reaction, I’m Still Waiting, I'm Coming Out and Upside Down, appeared at the Riverside ground on Wednesday evening, just days after her performance at this year’s Glastonbury festival caused a real stir online.

Diana, 78, headed to Worthy Farm in the middle of her Thank You tour, but, while acknowledging Glastonbury and shows in likes of London and Birmingham, Diana has yet to make mention of her County Durham g ig, which came to a rather abrupt end, after she failed to return to the stage to perform an encore including I Will Survive, which she had done at previous venues.

Fans, some of whom had paid £95 to be there, we’re treated to just over an hour of Diana before she made her exit, with her very casual outfit of lumberjack shirt, black top and jeans a million miles away for the glamorous outfit she wore for Glastonbury and the sequin clad ensemble she had on for a performance at the Lytham festival just 24 hours before she headed to Chester-le-Street.

Diana uploaded a video montage of that show on her Instagram, writing: "What a wonderful time we had together at the @lythamfestival! “No wind, no rain, can stop me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."

Th former Supremes star also went big on Glastonbury, posting a video with the caption: "Thank you #Glastonbury for this very special once-in-a-lifetime moment! I loved looking out and seeing all of your beautiful faces. It was such a blessing to sing to you from my heart. I’m so grateful for all of your love."
