The Diablo 4 Server Slam early download is available now on all platforms so you can dive in tomorrow without having to wait around for a giant file to download.
Diablo 4 is coming on June 6, 2023, and while we've already had a couple of betas, it wasn't enough to satiate the community who have been hankering after another chance to play the game before launch. Activision Blizzard delivered, announcing the Diablo 4 Server Slam set for this weekend, and it's available for early download now.
The aim of the Diablo 4 Server Slam is to stress test the servers. The game has already gone gold, and the Server Slam will include a number of changes that the devs have implemented following beta feedback. So there's really no reason to not get involved this weekend, especially as players will get the same freebies that were offered in the Diablo 4 beta rewards.
The official Twitter account for the game has announced that early download is available for the Diablo 4 Server Slam and it's a pretty beefy file so it's best to download ahead of time. In terms of file size, we're looking at:
- PS5: 120.8GB
- Xbox Series X|S: 70.12GB
- PC: 79GB
While PC and Xbox players can seemingly find the Diablo 4 Server Slam in their storefronts without any issues, some PS5 players are unable to find it like this Redditor who says the PS5 Diablo 4 Server Slam isn't appearing.
But rest assured, it is there! Just go to the Diablo 4 store page and click the three dots on the top bar next to the wishlist option. A pop-up menu will appear with the option to 'follow' as well as the individual editions of the game. And in that list, you'll see the Diablo 4 Server Slam option for PS5.
Click it and the page will refresh to the Diablo 4 open beta and you can hit download here.
What time does the DIablo 4 Server Slam start?
While the Diablo 4 Server Slam preload is live now, you won't be able to play until it goes live tomorrow, Friday, May 12. The exact Server Slam start time is 10pm BST / 5pm EDT / 2pm PDT. You'll be able to play all weekend, with the Server Slam ending on Sunday, May 14 at 8pm BST / 3pm EDT / 12pm PDT.
And the best part – for console players – is that you don't need an Xbox Live Gold or PS Plus subscription to take part.
