Diablo 4's Season of Infernal Hordes is now live and brings with it a ton of new content that makes Blizzard's popular action role-playing game even better than before.

There are a variety of new loot drops that make your characters even more powerful than they were previously. While most of the items' effects have not been adjusted, their stats have generally increased significantly.

Diablo 4 Season of Infernal Hordes

In previous seasons of Diablo 4, the game didn't really give players items that have as potent effects as the loot drops right now give. One of the more distinct items that Blizzard added to the latest season is the Axial Conduit pants.

These basically turn your character into a walking storm that will electrify everything that you face on the battlefield.

It will also give you a chance to cast chain lightning twice each will bounce between you and your enemies before eventually exploding, according to PCGamer.

The debut system in the latest season is the titular Infernal Hordes, which is a set of hellish arenas that serve as the franchise's version of a wave-based horde mode. Here, enemies will flood in from all directions as you try to collect aether to cash in for loot at the end.

Every single wave will give players a choice between a few modifiers or "Boons & banes," which will increase the difficulty in exchange for extra aether rewards. This mode was played by some players in the public test realm of the latest season last month.

Diablo 4 Season of Infernal Hordes also adds more than 50 new Uniques and Legendaries to the game and will remain even after the season has ended.

These new items can be earned by slaying various enemies across Sanctuary as well as in the Infernal Hordes, said WhenInManila.

A Ton of New Items

Players will also be able to earn Seasonal Progression by collecting caches that drop from slaying powerful servants of Hell.

After they have unlocked Seasonal Progression, the new Infernal Hordes feature will become one of the best ways to increase reputation and earn caches throughout the season.

Other than the new system and items, the latest patch also brought a lot of changes and fixes to Diablo 4. These include Exploit Weakness no longer executing all enemies at any health. Another one is that Bjornfang's Tusks have been reworked and given a new name.

Additionally, the drop rate for Legendary items in Helltide has been increased for monsters that are higher than level 100. The official patch notes show players everything that they need to know about the latest season, according to Blizzard.
