The ability for the Sorceress class in Diablo 4 to cast magic is dependent upon how much Mana is currently at the player's disposal. This is the secondary resource indicated by a blue circle on the bottom right side of the screen.
During the first part of the game, it's especially easy to drain Mana quickly and be forced to wait for it to slowly build back up. However, there are a few things you can do to increase Mana regeneration so you can cast spells faster. Not to mention, you can increase your Mana capacity to cast spells for longer stretches.
